The devastating effects of coronavirus globally have led to some celebrities and organizations donating food items and money to those who are in need so as to help them stay indoors.

This benevolent gesture by well-resourced individuals has led to many fans calling on their celebs and icons to also come to their aid in these times of hardships to curtail their suffering.

The CEO of VRMG and multiple award winner, Edem together with his wife Stayce, has recently donated food to some security personnel and gave cash to about 30 fans who follow him on Twitter.

Speaking exclusively in a celebrity interview with Amansan Krakye of Radio Central in Cape Coast, Edem was asked if there is unnecessary pressure on them by fans to donate beyond their means, he said;

“If you are a celebrity and you don’t have money right now don’t donate to anybody. You can’t give what you don’t have and suffer in silence whilst you’re hailed publicly”

“If you have 10cedis and you’ll give someone 1cedi and still be alive it’s better because when you die there will be no one to depend on so it’s better you stay alive and carry more people on your shoulder”

“Everybody should do their little. It doesn’t have to do with only celebrities because if you have a neighbour who needs gari and you have some give them to help them stay home to avoid the spread of coronavirus”.

Edem entreated people not to take the pandemic as a mere story because well-developed countries are even battling with how to control COVID-19 and its concomitant effects.

Maverick Ghanaian lawmaker, Kennedy Agyapong has taken the fight to Florence Obinim, the wife of Bishop Daniel Obinim. After pummeling the controversial man of God in a series of back and forth banter, Florence has been dragged into the fray for defending her husband. 

When we thought the drama between the two has ended after Obinim calls for a truce and begged for forgiveness on Soul TV, one of his TV stations, Ken is back again apparently infuriated that Florence decided to fire salvos at him.

‘Florence Obinim .You weren’t advised properly, I will show your underwear on Live TV including your G-strings that you now wear after your butt enlargement. She started the fight so, Nobody in Ghana should tell him to stop attacking her because she is a woman.’

When the world is dealing with Coronavirus which is a pandemic, others are also busily devising ways to make money out of the misery of others. Some group of people in Kenya have been tricked to buy some pants as face masks.

According to a report on Lindaikejisblog.com, the residents of a community in Kenya were lured into buying the masks by their low cost but only to later find out, they are actually female pants cut out to look like Face masks.

The flimsy mask costs a paltry Ksh.20 (about Ghc1) each with residents saying they only realized they were wearing panties long after they had bought the masks.

Worried and concerned that the masks may not be protecting them from the new coronavirus, the residents have asked the government to supply them with the appropriate masks.

The latest comes after the Government ordered all Kenyans to wear facemasks at all times while in public.Well, quite sad, just be safe and careful out there least someone will sell borla bird to you as chicken.
